Paul Johnson,  FCIPD MBA CQSW
Managing Director

Paul is well known in the field of coaching, housing and business development in the UK. He speaks at National and European conferences. He was part of the “Big Conversation” on leadership the forum working with colleagues such as Meredith Belbin on developing leadership understanding across organisations from the public and private sectors. Paul contributes to the UK Government's policy making by working with Government and related think tanks and policy makers. He has been an Executive Director and management team member of two of the country's largest housing associations. Since establishing 3Dk in 2002 Paul has acted as interim Chief Executive and Director for a number of companies. He specialises in performance, culture and talent management, particularly at times of significant change such as merger or regulatory involvement. Paul has developed a national reputation for his personal mentoring and coaching services and for developing a high performing team of expert coaches working with Chief Executives, Directors and developing talent throughout organisations. He is a Board Member Trustee and Vice Chair at the Brathay Trust and an elected member of the Council of the Institute for Fiscal Studies.

Michele Cook
Business Manager

Michele Cook is an experienced Business Manager, bringing to 3Dk her flare for design, meticulous finish and attention to detail. She has strong personal values and as a strong completer-finisher, taking pride in the quality and professionalism in the output of projects and tasks, contributing to the success and enthusiasm of 3Dk. Michele has worked in the private sector, within large UK and European client based companies. She has extremely competent skills in all financial aspects of the business, Board governance and strategic thinking, together with strong marketing and design skills, which provides a commercial perspective to 3Dk services. She has worked in high profile positions, dealing with Senior Executives, Chairs and Board Members, and staff levels throughout organisations, always maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.

 

Dave Procter, FCIH 
Executive Associate 

Dave is an experienced Chair, Chief Executive and Director in housing, with 40 years experience. For the last 5 years of his permanent career he was the Chief Executive of a large LSVT housing association following the successful transfer of his local authority’s stock. Dave is the Chair of Incommunities RSL Board responsible for over 22,000 homes in Bradford. He has been an appointee Board Member for the TSA. Dave is an effective leader, with vision and a track record of delivering service improvements, entrepreneurial business developments and of managing change. He now works as a Housing Consultant and Executive Coach and Mentor supporting personal development plans and improving individual performance.

Andrea Cross, MSc (TQM), FCII

Executive Associate

Andrea is an experienced Change Management senior consultant and project manager with current experience supporting and leading merger and acquisition projects. She has worked within housing and private organisations of all sizes. Led many projects which have included: ISO9001: 2000 and Investors in People (IiP) certification; project management of Registered Provider Mergers, organisational culture review pre merger and new HR approaches post large plc merger. A track record of delivering new initiatives, using a persuasive and pragmatic style. An experienced Housing Non Executive with a strong track record in training, coaching and performance delivery. Andrea supports organisations and Executives in change and succession, and helps create personal development opportunities.

 

Carol Johnson, BA, Dip CIM 
Company Secretary

Carol is the Company Secretary for 3Dk. She has worked in marketing and business analysis since 1998. She holds a degree in European Language and Social Sciences, and is a Chartered Institute of Marketing Graduate and Diploma holder. A key competent of her experience has been in marketing communication strategy. She advises 3Dk staff associates and clients on effective business planning and marketing strategy. 

 

Dr Graham Coupar, LLB MBA MSc PHD FRICS MCIArb

Executive Associate 

Graham is qualified in property / construction, business management and law. He is also a Chartered Building Surveyor, Chartered Project Management Surveyor and a Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. Graham has substantial experience of working within the social housing sector as a consultant, advising on strategic asset management issues. He has gained considerable experience and particular expertise in the development and implementation of procurement, strategic policy development, dispute resolution (Adjudication support & Expert Witness) and DSO business planning / ‘health checks’. He has personally led some of the Housing sectors biggest procurement projects and has procured in excess of £4 billion of such projects in the last 11 years. He is a regular speaker at national conferences. 

Helen Sumner, BSc MA CQSW 
Executive Associate 

Helen is a nationally recognised advisor to Senior Government and Local Government Members on complex Local Authorities challenges. She has a vast experience in Senior Management and has driven Council services to Beacon status. She gained client side experience in her role as Housing Lead Executive and facilitated the transfer of Warrington’s Housing to Golden Gates Housing Trust, LSVT. For 12 years she has acted as a coach and mentor to Senior Executives in the Housing and Charity world for 3Dk Solutions Ltd. 

John Walton, BSc MSc MSc

Executive Associate

John is an experienced 3Dk Executive Coach and is nationally recognised as an elite coach and facilitator who experienced an initial grounding in the elite army Parachute Regiment followed by a career in high performance sport. He has a proven track record of getting the best out of individuals and teams and consistently helping them achieve their goals. John has an accomplished academic profile in sports psychology, coaching and mentoring and his work has been endorsed by top athletes and executives. He has strong interpersonal skills which underpin his passion in helping people and building teams to achieve high levels of performance. John now uses these experiences to work with Executives, leaders, and teams in across a variety of businesses. Over the course of a long career in performance sport John has personally supported athletes who have gone on to win many Olympic medals throughout the Beijing, London, Rio Olympic and latterly Tokyo games including champion medalists in the Team GB hockey gold medal winning team of 2016. In recent years John has particularly focused his coaching with Chief Executives and Executive Directors in Housing Organisations and commercial businesses including SME’s and PLC’s. They report his style and structure he brings to their coaching and development sessions has helped them and their organisations significantly.

Krystyna Petersen, Chartered FCIPD

Krystyna is an experienced senior HR Consultant and Coach with over 20 years' experience. Previously a successful and experienced HR Director for a large global organisation, she now uses her broad range of skills to work with organisations and individuals on a consultative basis. A transformational leader, Krystyna is practiced in negotiating with senior stakeholders to achieve strategic objectives, ensuring outcomes are amicable to all parties. Influential and with strong leadership skills, Krystyna brings high level strategy and an understanding of corporate and operational challenges to those she works with. Krystyna is a Fellow of the CIPD, a mentor to many HR professionals and has a background in Psychology, NLP, CBT and coaching. Along with the study of more therapeutic disciplines such as EFT and through the use of psychometrics such as DiSC, this background and skill base allows Krystyna to bring a new perspective to people management and self-development in order to effect change quickly and with impact.

Andrew Foster, LLB AMD
Executive Associate 

Andrew has 20 years of Board level experience as a Company Secretary/Solicitor, with experience of working in both the private and third sectors. He has worked as both an executive and non-executive director. A qualified lawyer by training, Andrew has had direct responsibility and leadership for a broad range of functions including Corporate Strategy, Business Planning; Legal; Governance and Company Secretarial; Risk and Audit; Procurement; Health and Safety; Insurance and Facilities Management.

Will Betts, IAFPD

Executive Associate

Will's introduction to elite performance, coaching and leadership started as a professional rugby player however since then Will has specialised in working in Executive and Team coaching. His experience as a highly qualified and experienced mountaineering instructor and remote medic based out of The Lake District has given him a platform for helping people to develop their talents, both seen and unseen. As well as years of training, personal climbing and expeditions, Will is also a Mountain Rescue team member and medic. All of which have given him a wide range of experience working at elite levels in hostile and high-pressure environments. His biggest passion is working with people and using the outdoors as a platform to help develop individual and team performance, as well as mind-set and resilience to performing under pressure. Will undertakes 1-to-1 coaching, team coaching and group facilitation for 3Dk. Will gets excellent feedback from the Chief Executives, Executive Directors and Heads of Service that he has coached. His honesty clarity and creation of a supportive space to help people to grow, is often commented on.

Sabrina Cox
Executive Associate

Sabrina has a background in delivering coaching and training at the highest level with companies recognised nationally and internationally as the best in class. She has wide  experience as both a tutor and facilitator which has given her knowledge and experience of a broad spectrum of coaching approaches.At the heart of her work is creating an environment for transformational change. She is seen as an energetic and action focused coach who uses a wide variety of coaching techniques to aid thinking, encourage goal setting, overcome obstacles and remove limiting beliefs. Outside of her coaching work, Sabrina works as the Maternal Mental Health Lead for a National Fitness Company and is passionate in supporting women in particular, those returning to work or moving to a new role.

Aneela Khatoon, BSc MBA
Executive Associate

Aneela has worked alongside business leaders such as Chief Executives, Senior Executive teams and Board Members in realizing the design and deployment of bespoke, sustainable, pragmatic solutions to deliver strategy and realize individual and organisational goals. She has experience and knowledge of mergers and acquisitions in the RSL sector, having worked in housing management, strategy and policy departments for RSL’s in the north. Aneela holds a BSc in Social Sciences and a MBA in Business. She is able to use theoretical models to help improve organisation performance and deliver business strategy. She offers a unique perspective in the business of Social Housing, drawing on her experience of developing commercial businesses. 

Martin Cleworth

Executive Associate

Martin is a credible and engaging development executive who has been a senior public sector leader with 30 years policing experience up to the rank of Chief Superintendent. He has an extensive and varied background across operational and specialist portfolios including serious crime, counter terrorism, major events, and armed policing with a proven track record of delivering results. He has led multidisciplinary teams and strategic change programs improving service delivery and providing value for money. For over 20 years Martin has been involved in police negotiating dealing with people in crisis, siege situations, kidnaps and international deployments and achieved the prestigious position as Lead Coordinator for the Northwest of England. Following his retirement from policing in the summer of 2022 he now works with 3Dk and runs his own training consultancy teaching negotiating skills, decision making and crisis management.

Liana Lonsdale, BA
Executive Associate

Liana works for 3Dk as a media and communications consultant. She is an expert in digital communication and advises how to establish and maintain positive and meaningful relationships between clients and the public using media outlets. Liana provides guidance on how social media, including Facebook Twitter and YouTube, can maximise online interactivity to raise awareness of services, recent developments and digital marketing campaigns. Liana also offers web and content analysis to focus on brand communication. With a strong journalistic background and experience working in production of current affairs programming for the BBC, Liana has exceptional communication skills and enjoys driving positive changes in businesses. Liana has retrained as an english teach and with her fantastic communication skills has supported the bitesize learning on the BBC.
